Hi! I’m Bliss.
I am a graphic designer turned ecological gardener and educator. I moved to Los Angeles (Tongva, Chumash ancestral lands) in 2019 and am originally from the northeast.
I have found no greater joy than digging my hands in the dirt, learning from and teaching others about plants and local ecology, and building community around food sovereignty. I am passionate about getting people of all ages excited about growing food and reigniting their connection to land. As a certified permaculture designer, I weave design thinking with regenerative land-based practices when working with clients, volunteering at the community garden, or teaching classes through Arts Bridging the Gap.
In 2019, I earned my MFA in Graphic Design from Boston University’s School of Visual Arts. Previously, I had worked as a marketing communications professional before transitioning over to design. I earned my BA in Environmental Policy from Mount Holyoke College in 2013.
